New York, Sept 21 (ANI): Josh Brolin wasn’t Oliver Stone’s first choice to play George W. Bush in his upcoming Biopic, “W.” In fact, the filmmaker wanted to cast Christian Bale for the US President’s role. “I needed a star . . . and Josh Brolin was not a star. Originally I went for Christian Bale,” The New York Post quoted Stone, as telling GQ.com.

He added: We did some rigorous prosthetic tests and spent a lot of dough – thousands and thousands of dollars – and then Christian said, ”I just don”t feel like I can do it.” “I met Josh and liked him. He was more rural Americana. But man, he was scared [bleep]less.”

Josh Brolin did a convincing Dubya, though he reminded me a lot of his cowboy character from No Country for Old Men…
