Man fined for opening plane’s emergency exit to offload crying kid
Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 at 7:35 pmMelbourne, Feb 22 (ANI): An air traveller has reportedly been fined for opening the plane’s emergency exit door in an attempt to help the mother with a screaming child get off the plane faster.
Le Van Thuan, 29, pulled open the window exit of the Vietnam Airlines plane once it landed at Ho Chi Minh City Airport, releasing the emergency slide, the Daily Mail reported.
His impatience was a costly mistake as Thuan has reportedly been slapped with 15 million Vietnamese dong (676 dollars) fine for opening the door.
It cost the airline 9400 dollars to refit the slide into the plane, the Herald Sun reported.
However, the mother and child exited the plane in the normal manner. (ANI)
