WALL-E awarded Best Picture Of The Year

Washington, Jan 20 (ANI): Computer-animated science fiction/romance movie WALL-E has been given the Best Picture Of The Year (08) award by The Online Film Critics Society. Added to the Best Picture award, it was also chosen by Internet-based film critics for two others, for Best Animated Film and Best Original Screenplay, reports Contactmusic.

The Dark Night picked up four awards, including one for director Christopher Nolan and a Best Supporting Actor gong for the late Heath Ledger in his role as The Joker.

The award for Best Actor went to Mickey Rourke for his role in The Wrestler.

The main winners are as follows:

Best Picture: Wall-E

Best Director: Christopher Nolan – The Dark Knight

Best Actor: Mickey Rourke – The Wrestler

Best Actress: Michelle Williams – Wendy and Lucy

Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger – The Dark Knight

Best Supporting Actress: Marisa Tomei – The Wrestler
