G-Force
G-Force is a new-styled, pet-action-packed espionage adventure and thriller produced by Jerry Bruckheimer who is again famous for films such as Pearl Harbor, Bad boys and The Rock. But this time, it’s a movie with a difference as the main characters are guinea pigs, rodents and moles.
So, what’s G-force all about? Nay, noting to do with Newton’s Law of Gravitation. It’s beyond that. It is an animated farce wherein there is a team of guinea pigs who are the trained secret agents and go in a mission to save the world from the clutches of an evil billionaire Leonard played by Bill Nighy.
Leonard plans to destroy the world with his household appliances. The secret agent team realizes that and was in a mission to save the planet. But before the mission is completed the government issues statement for sending these animals to a pet shop. But it does not stop here. These characters Darwin who is the leader of the gang, Juarez, a martial art expert, cyber intelligent whiz kid Speckles and Blaster, the outrageous weapon expert along with their other new friends make an escape from the cage to defeat the villain and save the world.
This is the first live-action film to be produced by Digital-3D and is also the first 3D film to be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and also it is one of the most expensive films. Video games based on G-Force are already out in the market for release in Playstation, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and many more.
It is one of rare kind of team of guinea pigs armed with most sophisticated and high-end tech gadgets as the weapons such as the plasma gun and many more of its kind. There are also some romantic twists and turns amongst Darwin, Hurley and Juarez.
The script of the film is bombarded with high-octane retorts and the film is far too noisy with visual mayhem. It is basically a film filled with rodents, robots and free flow of several types of machines and appliances.
Leonard is in a mission and that is to too destroy the world with his home appliances. So the question is how he would do it. The film showed that his remote-controlled home appliances will all fly together and amalgamate into a mighty metallic robot with semblance to a Transformer.
What I felt is some little expenses and effort could have been channelized for a little more meaningful script, or is it that G-force is a complete movie where intention is to portray that technology can be used for both the purposes of evil and good that didn’t sink into my brain?
Whatever, G-Force is a perfectly timed movie for the summer break; it would be loved by children of all ages for sure. So check into a theater close to your home with your kids.
