Monsters Vs. Aliens

The film is meant for both adults and children; however, it is rated as PG for the mild language, crude comedy and some science fiction action. It’s after watching of the movie that you may start worrying about the future of cinema though.

DreamWorks present this Tru3D film, which can be termed better among the 3D film category. The title of the film will surely draw you to the theatre and with an assumption of it being a good 3D film. Especially the younger crowd will rush to watch the movie as they are simply advised to watch it and they would hardly see the movie in terms of picture quality and all.

The movie is nothing but a poor imitation of 2D movies such as ‘Finding Nemo’, Lawrence of Arabia’ and ‘Citizen Kane’, which were always perceived as 3D by the general public. These films were far more superior in picture quality and were near to perfection.

While you watch Monsters vs. Aliens, the sudden thought that crosses your mind will be the idea behind making such a film. It seems as if it was made to increase ticket prices and to keep piracy at bay.

There is no element of creativity in the film and loses out on its purpose. Hollywood would simply ignore the film and will be quite content with masterpieces made in the past rather than spending on meaningless technology used in such films.

The monsters in the movie will remind you of the 1950’s B films and the ugly aliens are annoying. It hard to understand how the kids will be able to associate with these awful characters of course not to forget Pokemon and the Ninja Turtles, if they like these characters you need not be surprised if they consider these aliens to be awesome.

Monsters Vs. AliensThe story is about Susan who is deformed by a meteorite on her wedding day and for step she walks she grows an inch taller! And her husband is no match for her; he suffers from complex for being a small built man. As she treads she causes huge damage and the media names her Ginormica.

And, the government officials imprison her in a secret prison along with other monsters. And in the meanwhile Earth is encroached by a Robot that sports an eye at the centre of its forehead. General Monger and the President have no choice to deal with this menace and they release all the monsters to help save the Earth.

The movie is messed up with confusion and their expression of emotions is very violent; they keep banging, clashing and toppling. Other than the character of Susan none of them make an impression.

The movie has very little to laugh about except for some frenzy action scene. Movies such as Pinocchio were filled exceptional humour that catered to the intellect of the kids. But Monsters Vs. Aliens seem to lack this quality and it will probably liked by kids below age of logic. And parents will surely be annoyed with such a movie and especially if they have many kids they will never think of spending money on the glasses.
